[text removed] I am requesting information under the UK Freedom of Information Act relating to the configuration of CCG’s throughout the NHS. I am interested in establishing exactly how many CCG’s have a majority GP members, and the ratio of clinical members to management.
I realise that each CCG publishes details of their members online, however, upon attempting to record each of these I have found that the mode of presentation differs across each CCG, which has made accurate reporting very difficult. In order to have confidence in the accuracy and uniformity in my reporting, I would be very grateful if you could provide me with the following information please:
1. Number of GP members.
7 including the clinical chair.
2. Number of management and finance (including lay persons) members.
To clarify, lay members of the governing body are not classed as ‘management’ they are independent to the CCG. We have two lay members, CFO, CO
3. Number of nursing members.
We have a ‘Registered Nurse’
4. Number of secondary care members.
We have a ‘Secondary Care Specialist’
5. Number of any other clinical staff .
We also have 4 advisors to the Governing Body. These are the Director of Adult Health and Social Care (LA), the Director of Public Health (LA), The Head of Quality and Lay Advisor for Finance, Performance and External Relations. Under statute you cannot have a ‘non-voting’ member as they are still classed as members and therefore subject to the exclusion rules.
Please find attached a copy of our constitution.
