NHS Calderdale CCG is the responsible commissioner for preschool aged children.

2. Details of all providers commissioned by Calderdale CCG to carry out complex communication (autism) assessments for preschool aged children in each of the last 5 years

The CCG commissions the pre-school autism service from Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. 

In the past 5 years, this service has also been commissioned from:

  • South West Yorkshire Mental Health Foundation Trust and;
  • United Consultancy (Wales)

3. Details of any current service level agreements between Calderdale CCG and providers of complex communication (autism) assessments for preschool aged children

There is no current service level agreement. This service is within a block contract with Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.

 4. Details of how service level agreements between Calderdale CCG and providers of complex communication (autism) assessments for preschool aged children are currently monitored, measured and evaluated including the frequency with which contracts are reviewed.  

Please see question 3 regarding service level agreements.  Autism in pre-school aged children is monitored by the CCG using information received from Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust each month.  The figures received include all 0-5 year old autism and do not differentiate between cases involving ‘complex communication’ needs.

Monitoring of Children and Young People (autism) takes place through the Children and Young People’s Partnership Steering Group.
