Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) – Individual Funding Requests (1819033)

I am writing to make a Freedom of Information request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. OCD Action is a national charity providing support and information to people affected by Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).  Two key elements of our national advocacy work are to improve clarity around treatment pathways and to promote people’s right to make informed choices about treatment.

In order to inform our national advocacy work regarding access to specialist OCD services we would be grateful if you could please provide us with data from your Individual Funding Request (IFR) process for Calderdale CCG:

Total numbers of IFRs received for treatment at an adult national and specialist OCD service in the periods 2015/16, 2016/17, 2017/18 AND the number of those that were successful.

2015/16 –   Zero requests received

2017/18 –   Zero requests received

2016/17 –   Equal to or less than 5 (exempt under section 40 (2) (Personal Information) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Please see Refusal Notice below.

Total numbers of IFRs received for treatment at a child and adolescent national and specialist OCD service in the periods 2015/16, 2016/17, 2017/18 AND the number of those that were successful.

2015/16 –   Zero requests received

2017/18 –   Zero requests received

2016/17 –   Zero requests received

Refusal Notice

Having undertaken an assessment of your request, as per the requirements of Section 1, 1(a) of the Freedom of Information Act, NHS Calderdale CCG confirms that it holds the information you have requested relating to the 2016/17 financial year under question 1.  However, due to the low numbers, the CCG is unable to disclose the information requested as it is potentially patient identifiable.  As such, we are issuing an exemption notice under section 40 (2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.  Section 40 (2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 provides an absolute exemption where disclosure of personal data about someone other than the applicant would contravene any of the data protection principles. Consequently, the exemption is not subject to the public interest test.
