The service only includes posture and mobility provision

This contract includes Greater Huddersfield CCG, Calderdale CCG and North Kirklees CCG. Greater Huddersfield is the lead commissioner for this service.

d. Is the Repair and Maintenance element of the service “integrated” or contracted out to a 3rd party Approved Repairer?

This is integrated within the contract.

a. What is the size of the population covered by your Wheelchair Service?

In accordance with the specification, it covers the whole of the Greater Huddersfield, Calderdale and North Kirklees population.

b. How many registered service users are served by the Wheelchair Service?

10,000 registered service users.

The spend above relates to 2016-17 full year.

A procurement exercise was undertaken in 2013/14.

The original contract commenced on the 1st October 2014 for a three year period with an option to extend by a further two years.

A procurement exercise will be undertaken 2018/2019.
