A&E and the 999 ambulance service are for life-threatening emergencies, such as:
• Loss of consciousness
• Confused state and fits that are not stopping
• Ongoing, severe chest pain
• Breathing difficulties
• Severe bleeding that cannot be stopped
For anything else call NHS 111, visit a pharmacist or your GP.
Extra GP appointments
Access routine appointments from 8:00am – 8.00pm Monday to Friday, and additional appointments from 10:00am-2:00pm every Saturday and Sunday, and 10:00am – 11.30am on Bank Holidays, including Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
Extra appointments with GPs and practice nurses are also available during standard opening times of 8:00am – 6.30pm on weekdays.

GPs in Calderdale are urging those most vulnerable to flu to get their free vaccination ahead of the winter period when the virus is most common.
